My Sanctuary: Nina Parker
While home has often been considered a feminine space, too few opportunities have been given to women to tell their stories about the places they inhabit and the objects they value. Our sanctuaries articulate our unique aesthetics, rituals and needs and so become a beautiful expression of selfhood.
In this series we discover the stories of home and life told by some of the wonderful women in our midst.
Nina Parker is a London based chef and food writer who has published three beautiful cookbooks, and has coterie of established men and women who she counts among her list of private clients. Nina still finds time to publish mouth watering daily recipes on her Instagram, and she shares with us some moments from a day in her home and kitchen.
“I’m working on a new book and I’m using my sister’s amazing kitchen to shoot some of the imagery – today it’s tiramisu”
“Meditation is an important part of my day. Helps me refocus”
“Here is another shot of the living room – it’s so calm and tranquil and the perfect place for me to write recipes and plan my shoots”
“I‘ve spent the last few months at my sisters house, which has become a home away from home and a true sanctuary for me during lockdown. She has the most incredible interior design taste, I love my bedroom here – it’s so serene and always a calming start!”
“I love nothing more than getting in the tub and chilling out on my busy days!”
