My Sanctuary: Lucinda Chambers
While home has often been considered a feminine space, too few opportunities have been given to women to tell their stories about the places they inhabit and the objects they value. Our sanctuaries articulate our unique aesthetics, rituals and needs and so become a beautiful expression of selfhood.
In this series we discover the stories of home and life told by some of the wonderful women in our midst.
Lucinda Chambers is the former British Vogue fashion director and cofounder of shopping platform Collagerie, as someone who found her footing in fashion she has now come to be seen for her bold interior aesthetics. Lucinda shares with us some spaces and moments in her sanctuary.
“The bathroom is where I get ideas for the week ahead. letting the mind wander”
“Lazy start with scattered papers and books. Can never resist a cushion as they make my bedroom so much cozier”
“Settling down to watch TV. Not quite ready yet to light the fire … Not far off though”
“We always go to a wonderful Sunday farmers market in Queen’s park and stock up on veggies …”
