Inspired by the malleability of wax the Twist candle topples your expectation of what a wax form should look like – not your typically straight dinner candle but a twisted and double headed wonder. This surreal and curled entity comes in four playful hues – mint, light blue, peach and white.

The liquid state of wax was a starting point in this project. By bending and twisting candles a new typology appears combining form, function and fun.

Lex Pott’s is an independent design studio based in Rotterdam. Pott’s design philosophy extols the merits of using an unrefined and intuitive method of creation. Often his work returns to the origin of materials, creating pieces that are grounded in their materiality and as such he reduces the design to its very essence.
